Hinds women’s soccer adds three signees
Raymond, Miss – Kori Babb, women’s soccer coach at Hinds Community College, has announced the signing of three student-athletes for the 2010 season.
The signees are Alexis Pauline and Taylor Payne of Clinton High School, and Morgan Lott of Washington School in Greenville.
Pauline and Payne were both defenders for Clinton High School. Pauline competed as a center back, while Taylor spent time as an outside back.
“These two players will be able to control our defense and they are extremely smart players,” said Babb. “I am returning two defenders with a lot of playing experience, and when you add these two players to that experience, we should have a strong back line.”
Lott, who made the Mississippi Private School Association (MPSA) All-Star team, is an outside defender who can be used as a defensive center mid.
Lott, who plays club soccer for the Mississippi Fire, also received All-State and All-Conference honors for four years as a member of the Lady Generals.
“Morgan comes to Hinds with a lot of experience, and will add to the experience that we already have on our defense,” said Babb. “She also gives us a utility player as well.”
“I look forward to coaching her and developing her as a defender,” continued Babb. “Morgan fits right into my coaching style and philosophy.”
